Functional and Technical Program

The functional and technical program (FTP) offers a detailed description of the organizational, operational, human resources, area, equipment, execution costs and work schedule characteristics for an entire building or a sector.

The FTP contains:

• a description of the organization
• inherent layout problems related to current or projected activities
• the guiding principles of the functional and technical program
• the functional, operational and technical needs of the project, including but not limited to operational procedures and policies, past and projected volumes of activity, data on traffic, accesses and the site, surface areas, proximity diagrams, description of design criteria, technical requirements and special design considerations, technical data, detailed estimate of the project execution costs and schedule.
