Medical Examiners (health and social services sector)

CIM offers health care facilities a team of expert physicians who can serve as medical examiners when dealing with complaints about a member of the Council of physicians, dentists and pharmacists (CMDP), in accordance with the Act respecting health services and social services (R.S.Q., chapter S-4.2, s. 42).

Our involvement offers a pragmatic and rigorous approach regarding the complaint examination procedure, in which an expert physician examines and analyzes all of the medical aspects of the complaint and reaches a conclusion. In addition to CIM’s recognized expertise, the facility benefits from a neutral stance and objectivity with respect to the analysis and decision-making. The cases are dealt with readily, following a standardized methodology based on actions taken in a number of different clinical establishments.
