Claire Viens has a bachelor’s degree in journalism and communications, a bachelor’s degree in teaching and a master’s degree in health services administration.
She has acted as senior manager in the health and social services network, programming consultant with the MSSS, executive consultant with the Association des directeurs généraux and project manager in the CHUM administration.
As a consultant for 17 years, she has completed dozens of strategic and operational engagements in the health and social services network, especially in the areas of work organization optimization, management of information system implementation, change management, clinical and administrative management information (management dashboards), organization of services, organizational structure redesign and governance.
For several years, Ms. Viens taught the course on performance and management indicators in the healthcare management certificate program at Université de Montréal. She also trained managers and other players in the healthcare network.
At CIM, Ms. Viens is responsible for the quality assurance program, which she set up in 2003, organizational development and strategic planning, performance review and management information processes.
