Lucie Poitras, MD, MHA, SSGB

Lucie Poitras holds a medical degree from Université de Sherbrooke (1984) and received a master's degree in health administration from Université de Montréal in 1995. She also completed part of her master’s coursework in the public health program at Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore. Working for CHU Sainte-Justine from 1995 to 2007, she held various positions: director of medical and university affairs, director of telemedicine program, director of the Réseau mère-enfant, coordinator of Arc-en-ciel project and director of professional services.

Dr. Poitras was also responsible of the coordination of teaching and research activities as well as the international development at CHU Sainte-Justine. Since 1998, she was in charge of the development of the Réseau mère-enfant du Québec which includes 20 regional hospitals and is coordinated by CHU Sainte-Justine, her main objective being to organize and standardize clinical health care services for this clientele, across the province.

From 2002 to 2007, Dr. Poitras led an international academic Child and Maternal Network in French-speaking countries called le Réseau mère-enfant de la francophonie, which involves 16 university-affiliated hospitals from 8 different countries. 

She joined the CIM team in 2007 and since then has worked as a consultant in various contexts and on a range of mandates, especially as interim director of professional services at CSSS Jardins-Roussillon and interim senior medical officer at Agence des services de santé et des services sociaux des Laurentides from 2007 to 2009. Since 2009, she takes over a part-time interim at the direction of professional services at CSSS de Saint-Jérôme. At CIM, Dr. Poitras supervises the work of physicians in management as well as the whole clinical mandates of Health Consulting Services Vice Presidency.
