Jacques Letarte, MD

With a medical degree from Université de Montréal, Dr. Letarte has completed studies in economics and health management for government agencies and pharmaceutical companies in both Canada and the United States. He was director of the research center as well as director of professional services at Hôpital Sainte-Justine. In addition to establishing and directing several research ethics committees, he was also a professor in the pediatrics department at Université de Montréal. He also held the position of director of governmental affairs at a prestigious pharmaceutical company.

Dr. Letarte presided over a research ethics committee at Hôpital de Granby and at Hôtel-Dieu de Saint-Jérome. He also collaborated on the drafting of policies for research ethics for two hospitals. He also provided support to the team of programmers at a research center and was the medical examiner, a position still currently held at the Hôpital Lachine.
