With a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, majoring in energy, Marc-André Larose has more than 20 years experience in managing automation, plant and equipment projects, technical services and technological resources. Over a ten-year period, he held successively the positions of Assistant Director and Director of Technical Services at Hôtel-Dieu de Montréal. From 1997 to 2002, he served as Director of Technological Resources at the Centre hospitalier de l’Université de Montréal (CHUM). From 2002 to 2005, he was Executive Vice-President – Operations at Logibec Groupe Informatique. He has extensive experience in managing complex projects involving strategic planning and the implementation of new information systems for a multidisciplinary clientele. In several of his mandates he successfully installed integrated information systems as part of corporate mergers.
At CIM since 2005, he is Vice-President, Information Technologies. Most of the projects in which Mr Larose has been involved to date are related to organizational diagnoses for information technologies, IT master plans as well as planning and coordinating the deployment of IT applications in the healthcare sector. His team has developed expertise specifically related to the reengineering of processes associated with the implementation of clinical information systems.
Mr Larose is currently very closely involved in several local, regional and provincial projects to implement the Quebec Health Record (Dossier de santé du Québec).
